The biggest share in the structure of Azerbaijan's GDP from January through March 2021 accounted for industry, amounting to 40.5 percent, which is by 0.3 percentage points more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports on April 16 referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
According to the ministry, 10.5 percent in the structure of GDP accounted for the sphere of trade and repair of vehicles (a decline of 0.2 percentage points), 7.6 percent - transport and warehousing (an increase of 0.7 percentage points).
Agriculture, forestry and fishing accounted for 3.1 percent, construction - 5.3 percent.
Hotel business and public catering accounted for less than 0.8 percent in the structure of GDP, 1.9 percent - information and communications, 20.1 percent - other sectors of the economy.
The net tax revenues from import of products in the reporting period amounted to 10.2 percent of GDP, practically unchanged compared to the period from January through March 2020.
The volume of Azerbaijan's GDP from January through March 2021 decreased in relation to the corresponding indicator of 2020 by 1.3 percent and amounted to 18.9 billion manat ($11.1 billion).
