Russian agro-complex plans to boost rice export to Azerbaijan

The Russian TD Agrocomplex-Export plans to increase the supply of rice to Azerbaijan by late 2021, Denis Brodsky, Deputy Director of TD Agrocomplex-Export LLC, said, Trend reports with reference to Russian media.

“Until the end of 2021, we will be able to increase the supply of rice to Azerbaijan by almost 30 percent - from 5,000 tons to 6,500 tons,” he said.

As a result of negotiations within the international exhibition Prodexpo-2021, contracts were concluded with large manufacturers, retail chains, and marketplaces in Moscow and at the federal level.

According to Vladimir Yamshikov, Deputy General Director of the Agrocomplex for Trade, the company's products at Prodexpo have received constant attention from both capital companies and regional ones, for example, from the Vladimir region, Tula, Vologda.

“We have negotiated and signed contracts with large retail chains and marketplaces (Dixie, Magnit, Pyaterochka, Verny, Food City),” he said.

“In Moscow, for some groups of this product, we will supply products throughout the geography of Magnit and Pyaterochka. We have also established contacts with a large number of new contractors, now we are conducting an active contractual campaign and are planning a large-scale expansion of sales from the beginning of the summer," Yamshikov added.
