Within cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the field of transport infrastructure, it was decided to consider and prepare proposals on duties, taking into account the interests of both parties, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu told Trend in an exclusive interview.
According to Karaismailoglu, the parties also decided to carry out work in the areas of digitalization of communication services, preparation of a feasibility study (feasibility study) for the creation of a joint venture for the construction and sale of railway cars, transportation of bulky cargo in containers from the Logistics Center in Kars to Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan, simplification of transit between two countries and other states, expanding cooperation for the full development of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway and increasing freight traffic on the BTK between Turkey and China through the Middle Corridor.
The minister noted that Ankara and Baku also decided to sign an agreement on air transport, expand cooperation between the ports of the two countries, continue work on the Kars-Nakhchivan railway project, as well as in the areas of television broadcasting and satellite communications.
The two countries have also agreed on the possibilities of terrestrial and digital networks. the beginning of work on the establishment of passenger traffic on the BTK for the development of internal and external tourism, the minister added.
