Several hospitals, metro stations open in Iran

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18

As many as 5 hospitals with more than 1,000 beds were opened in 5 provinces of Iran, Trend reports citing IRINN.

According to the report, one hospital with 538 beds was opened in Tehran Province, one hospital with 135 beds in Gilan Province, one with 96 beds in East Azerbaijan Province, one with 90 beds in West Azerbaijan Province and one with 218 beds in Qom Province.

“In addition, two subway stations were put into operation in Tehran city as a symbol of support for the medical sector,” the report said.

A total of 32.1 trillion rials (about $765 million) was spent on the facilities put into operation today, and 2,680 people were employed, the report said.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Minister of Health and Medical Education Saeed Namaki and other officials attended the opening ceremony of the hospital and metro stations online format.
