Uzbek sewing enterprise eyes increasing annual exports

A sewing enterprise in Andijan region of Uzbekistan, organized by Dinar group LLC, intends to bring annual exports to $40 million, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, the textile industry is one of the drivers of the economy of the Andijan region, where 700 textile enterprises operate, which include a sewing enterprise organized by Dinar group LLC.

It is reported that the abandoned building was was chosen for a $10-million project. In just seven months, a modern enterprise appeared here. The company has installed sewing and painting equipment from Italy, Austria and Turkey. The production capacity of the enterprise amounts to 3.5 million units of finished knitwear and 5,000 tons of semi-finished products per year.

It is noted that with Uzbekistan joining the GSP + program of the European Union, wide opportunities have opened up for this enterprise as well. Today, the entire volume of its products is exported. On foreign orders, more than 50 types of semi-finished products and more than 100 types of ready-made knitwear are produced here. The company intends to increase its annual export to $40 million.

In addition, the Diromm factory in Andijan is one of the successful examples of the effectiveness of economic policy for the rational use of vacant structures. Thanks to the investments of Bobur KhBK LLC in the amount of $33.5 million, the appearance of the building has completely changed. It has been overhauled and equipped with modern equipment from France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Turkey. Currently, 1,500 people work here. After reaching full capacity, 2,700 permanent jobs will be created.
