Kyrgyzstan can enter the Afghan market by transit through Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
This was stated by the chairman of the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan Jyrgalbek Sagynbayev.
Turkmenistan buys a lot of incandescent lamps from the Mailuu Suu Lamp Factory of Kyrgyzstan. As a transit country, Turkmenistan can also transport them to the Afghan market, he said.
He also noted that the country also needs supplies of mineral fertilizers, petroleum products, some types of agricultural products that Turkmenistan produces.
As reported, Turkmenistan will start supplying electricity to Kyrgyzstan. Deliveries will be carried out in the autumn-winter period.
The trade turnover between the countries increased by up to 30 percent in 2020, compared to 2019, amounting to $ 11.7 million.
According to the plan, the trade turnover between the countries should grow by 10-20 percent in the near future.
Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan are interested in expanding partnerships in energy, industry, trade, and other areas.
