Iran shares data on trade turnover with Kazakhstan

The main part of Iran's imports from Kazakhstan was accounted for essential products, including edible oil, barley, rapeseed, lentils and equipment during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.

The spokesman emphasized that Iran's trade turnover with Kazakhstan for the first 4 months of current Iranian amounted to about 244,000 tons worth about $81 million.

“So, Iran imported 91,000 tons of goods worth $28 million from Kazakhstan within the mentioned period,” he added.

Latifi noted that Iran exported 152,000 tons of goods worth $52 million to Kazakhstan over the four months.

According to him, Iran's trade turnover with the Caspian littoral states amounted to 2.18 million tons worth about $948 million within the first four months of the current Iranian year. Thus, Iran exported 1.3 million tons of goods worth $465 million to the Caspian littoral states, while imported 874,000 tons of goods worth $482 million.
