The number of enterprises with foreign capital in Uzbekistan amounted to 13,000 as of September 1, 2021, of which 6,069 are joint ventures, Trend reports citing press service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Most of the enterprises with foreign capital are registered in the industrial sector – 4,100, trade – 3,600, construction – 1,000.
The smallest indicators are in the field of information and communication technologies - 375, transportation - 334, as well as in healthcare - 204.
It is known that since the beginning of 2017, Uzbekistan has mastered $83 billion of investments. About a third ($27 billion) of this amount is foreign investments.
Almost 65 percent of investments were directed to industrial and infrastructure projects, which made it possible to increase the share of industrial production in the structure of GDP from 25 percent to 33 percent.
