The process of economic recovery in Azerbaijan continued in August 2021, the country's exports amounted to $1.6 billion, Trend reports with reference to the monthly Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan.
Non-oil exports increased by 95.3 percent over the year and reached $230.4 million, said the report.
According to the data, in August 2021, exports of food products increased by 53.1 percent compared to August 2020 and amounted to $38.3 million, and non-food products - by 1.1 times, amounting to $192.1 million.
The leaders in non-oil exports for the reporting month were polypropylene in primary form ($27.8 million), gold ($23.4 million), urea ($11 million).
The largest importers of Azerbaijani non-oil products in August were as follows: Russia - $54.4 million, Turkey - $48 million, Switzerland - $25.5 million.
