The Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum with the Schmidt United Institute of Physics of the Earth, Russian Academy of Science, Trend reports with reference to Turkmen news agency.
According to the information, the memorandum provides for an official partnership in the implementation of joint programs, projects, exchange of research experience and other activities in the field of seismology, modern geodynamics and geophysics, taking into account mutual interests and experience in accordance with the laws of both parties.
“The signed Memorandum is aimed at cooperation between the parties in solving both fundamental problems of seismology, modern geodynamics and geophysics, including how to study the physics of the earthquake source, the stress-strain state of the lithosphere, potential fields, the study of the Earth from space and topical applied problems, including seismic hazard assessment, geodynamic monitoring of subsoil use objects and earthquake forecast,” director of the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics Guldzhemal Saryeva said.
