Turkmenistan and Austria signed a cooperation program for 2022-2023 following a meeting between Foreign Ministers of the two countries Rashid Meredov and Michael Linhart, Trend reports referring to Turkmen media.
According to the information, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Austria increased in 6M2021 by 34 percent compared to the same period last year.
Also, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, bilateral trade between the countries in 2020 grew 2.5 times compared to 2019.
Speaking about the prospects for trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Austria, Meredov mentioned the existing great potential in such areas as investment, industry, logistics, tourism, digital technologies, trade and healthcare.
Meredov also suggested holding the next meeting of the Turkmen-Austrian intergovernmental commission in Ashgabat, scheduled for next year.
