Iran records increase in non-oil exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 29

Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 42 percent in value and 10.5 percent in volume, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Mehdi Mirashrafi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

According to Mirashrafi, Iran exported 83.7 million tons of goods worth $31.1 billion in 8 months.

“So, Iran exported 19.3 million tons of goods worth $9.1 billion to China, 21.6 million tons worth $6.1 billion to Iraq and 11.3 million tons worth $3.8 billion to Turkey, as well as, 7.3 million tons worth $2.9 billion to the UAE and 3 million tons worth $1.27 billion to Afghanistan within the mentioned period,” the director general added.

The official noted that Iran's foreign trade turnover for the first eight months of the current Iranian year amounted to more than 110 million tons worth $63.1 billion. Trade turnover increased by 40 percent in value and 43.5 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
