Iran is activating and developing car manufacturing facilities in Azerbaijan, Senegal, Syria, and Iraq, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Reza Fatemi Amin told IRNA, Trend reports.

Fatemi Amin noted that the new Iranian government has begun to implement a plan to increase Iran's car manufacturing by 30 percent by 2025. In this regard, the focus is on the launch of car manufacturing facilities abroad and increasing the manufacturing of existing facilities.

The minister added that Iran Khodro Automaker Company resumed operations in Senegal, which had been suspended for some time.

"As certain duties are applied to the export of finished cars, the focus is on sending spare parts to these countries and assembling them there. So, the cars should be manufactured in those countries and exported to other countries under the membership of those countries," he said.

In total, 651,408 various vehicles were manufactured in Iran in the first 8 months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 4.7 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
