Iran's Qazvin Province in (northern Iran) ranks 14th in the country in terms of the establishment and development of industrial enterprises, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qazvin Province Azizollah Afzali said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
The chairman noted that more than 172 trillion rials (about $4.1 billion) has been spent on the establishment and launch of industrial enterprises in Qazvin Province. As a result, there are currently 3,522 industrial enterprises operating in the province.
Afzali also added that a total of 150,457 people work in the industrial enterprises of the Qazvin Province.
"The enterprises are mainly engaged in the production of steel products, polyester threads, ceramics, glass bottles, plastic wares, porcelain, profiles, car spare parts and so on," he said.
