Kazakhstan unveils housing purchase indicators for January 2022

The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 33,365 transactions in January 2022, which is 64.9 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Karaganda region ranked first by a number of purchases (4,690 transactions in January 2022), showing a 94.7 percent increase compared to January 2021 and a 60.5 percent decrease compared to December 2021.

The second largest number of transactions was observed in Almaty city where it amounted to 4,176 transactions, which is 9.5 percent more than in January 2021 and 60 percent less than in December 2021.

Almaty city is followed by Nur-Sultan city with 4,072 transactions, which is 27.4 percent more than during January 2021 and 54.1 percent less than in December 2021.

The least number of purchases and sales of housing transactions during January 2022 was observed in the North Kazakhstan region (525 transactions, an increase of 16.4 percent compared to January 2021 and a decrease of 69.6 percent compared to December 2021).
