Iran's steel export stood at 6.4 million tons in the first ten
months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021),
indicating an 11-percent rise compared to the previous year
(started March 20, 2020), Trend reports citing IRNA.
The top Iranian steel companies that had to increase their exports
were Khuzestan Steel Company with 1.5 million tons (a 20-percent
growth), Mubarakeh Steel Company with 980,758 tons (a 5-percent
growth) and Isfahan Steel Company - 937,906 tons (a 19-percent
increase).
The major steel exports manufactured by these steel companies
included slab, billet, sponge iron, sheet, hot briquette.
The World Steel Association's latest report indicated that Iran is
still among the top 10 biggest steel producers. The country's steel
production in December 2021 compared to the same period in 2020,
increased by 15.1 percent to 2.8 million tons.
