BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. As many as 135 new industrial enterprises were put into operation in the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province (western Iran), over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), an official of the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of the province, Behnam Khosravi said, Trend reports citing the organization.
According to him, in this regard, the country’s private sector has invested a total of 5.31 trillion rials (about $127 million).
“As a result of the operating of the mentioned enterprises, 862 people were provided with jobs in the province last Iranian year,” the official said.
Khosravi added that in total, 462 industrial enterprises were put into operation in the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province by the end of the last Iranian year (March 20, 2022).
The official also noted that a total of 163 trillion rials (about $3.89 billion) was spent on these enterprises and 5,995 people were employed.
Khosravi emphasized that the enterprises are engaged in the production of urea and ammonia, various equipment for the textile industry, ceramics, steel products and other products.
At present, there are more than 950 industrial enterprises operating in Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
