BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 21. Iran's raw steel exports increased by 74 percent for the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), compared to the same month Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).

According to the statistics, Iran exported a total of 636,000 tons of raw steel within the first month. Meanwhile, in the same month of the Iranian year, the figure stood at 366,000 tons.

Thus, Iran exported 581,000 tons of billet and bloom for the 1st month, which is an increase of 73 percent compared to the same month of the Iranian year. The figure was 335,000 tons in the same month of the last Iranian year.

Iran also exported 55,000 tons of slab within the mentioned month, which is 77 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, the export amounted to 31,000 tons in the same month last Iranian year.

Furthermore, Iran exported 184,000 tons of steel products over the first month. This is a decrease of 31 percent, compared to the same month of last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, in the first month of the last Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), the country’s steel product exports amounted to 266,000 tons.

In particular, the country’s long steel products exports for the 1st month of the current Iranian year amounted to 157,000 tons, which is a decrease of 34 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. The figure stood at 238,000 tons in the first month of the last Iranian year.
