BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The iron ore concentrate production of 10 major Iranian companies increased by 4 percent, over the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, in total, these companies produced over 51.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate within the last Iranian year. The figure stood at 49.7 million tons in the preceding Iranian year.
"The Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 16.4 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 12.2 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 6.1 million tons, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 4.91 million tons, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran – 3.8 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company produced 2.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company – 2.37 million tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 1.47 million tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 1.34 million tons, and Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex – 381,000 tons within the last Iranian year.
