BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 4. Iran's trade turnover with the CIS countries amounted to 672,000 tons worth $276 million for the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).

According to the statistics, the trade turnover decreased by 17.8 percent in value and 7.5 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Within the 1st month, Iran exported 367,000 tons of goods worth $118 million to CIS countries, which is a decrease of 20 percent in value and 28 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Furthermore, Iran imported 305,000 tons of goods worth $158 million from the CIS countries for the reporting month. Imports decreased by 16 percent in value, while increased by 46 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.

In total, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 7.32 million tons worth about $3.7 billion for the 1st month of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 24.6 percent in value, while a decrease of 10 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.
