TEHRAN, Iran, June 27. Iran has taken measures to boost steel production and trade and prevent damages, said the Iranian Minister of Industries Mine and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin, Trend reports.

"The ministry has taken measures to prevent further damages effected the steel industry including the decline of prices," he said in a press conference about the ministry's plans and achievements.

He has underlined the sharp decline of the global price of steel products and Russia capturing Iran's export markets, adding that Russia has slashed its prices in the steel market.

Amin pointed out that Iran's steel industry should no longer be concerned with the issue of a power outage.

According to the official, the ministry has drafted the balance sheet of mining industries in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022) that would specify capacity and production, the reserves, and explorations. The ministry is also planning to allocate part of the mines.
