BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Iran's non-oil trade turnover increased by 31 percent in value and 4 percent in volume, during the 11-month period of the current Iranian government (August 23, 2021 through July 22, 2022), compared to the previous period, the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The spokesman noted that Iran's non-oil trade turnover for the reporting period amounted to about $152 million tons worth $102 billion.

“Within 11 months, Iran's non-oil exports amounted about 113 million tons worth about $48.2 billion, which is an increase of 27 percent in value compared to the previous period,” he added.

Latifi also said that Iran imported 38.5 million tons of goods worth $53.6 billion in 11 months. The imports increased by 34 percent in value and 18 percent in volume compared to the previous period.

According to Latifi, transit of goods through Iran for the mentioned 11 months amounted to nearly 12.9 million tons, which is an increase of 58 percent compared to the previous period.
