TEHRAN, Iran, August 31. Iran's auto cooperation with Russia could develop the country's industry and expand exports to other countries, the Iranian Deputy Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade for Transportation Industries Affairs Manouchehr Manteghi told Trend.
"Iran's auto exhibitions in Russia have led to cooperation between the two countries," he said, adding that Iran could expand ties with other countries in the auto sector by following the same plan.
Manteghi also said Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade has plans to develop auto cooperation with African and Middle Eastern countries.
He pointed out that the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and North African and South American countries are Iran's export destinations.
Manteghi said Iran can have joint auto production with other countries, pointing out that Iran has exported cars to Algeria and countries such as Tunisia and Morocco have the capacity to cooperate with Iran in joint auto part manufacturing.
