BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. Iran's Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) has started exporting passenger cars to Russia, Executive Director of the IKCO, Mehdi Khatibi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
“The IKCO is expected to export approximately 2,000 units of "Tara" and "Dena" car models to Russia by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023),” the director said.
Khatibi also added that Iran Khodro Company has successfully participated in automobile exhibitions held in Moscow for the current Iranian year, and got the opportunity to enter Russian car market.
In addition to passenger car exports, Iran Khodro can actively participate in the provision of truck spare parts in Russia, he noted.
Within the first 9 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), auto manufacturing of Iran Khodro Company amounted to 460,271 units. This is an increase of 45.7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
