BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 23. The raw steel output of Iran’s Khouzestan Steel Company in Khuzestan Province in the southwest of the country, increased by 9 percent, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Within 11 months, the company produced more than 3.27 million tons of raw steel. Of the mentioned volume, 2.07 million tons accounted for billet and bloom, which is 46 percent more compared to the same period last Iranian year.
At the same time, Iran’s Khouzestan Steel Company sold about 3.17 million tons of raw steel worth 454 trillion rials (about $10.8 billion) in 11 months.
The company's raw steel sales for the reporting period increased by 9 percent in value and 12 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
The Khouzestan Steel Company is located on 3.8 square kilometers of land in Ahvaz city of Iran’s Khuzestan Province. The company’s annual production capacity is 3.8 million tons. The figure is planned to reach 5.2 million tons in the coming years.
