BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. In total, about 337,000 tons of non-oil products worth $197 million were exported from Iran’s North Khorasan Province in the north-east of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of North Khorasan Province Hossein Hajibegloo told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Hajibegloo, the non-oil exports from Iran's North Khorasan Province for the reporting period increased by 29 percent in value, while decreasing by 5.5 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2023).

The official added that the main exported goods were petrochemical products, steel, cement, tomatoes, aluminum, etc.

He also said that the province’s goods were exported to 31 countries, mainly Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Russia.

There are approximately 400 industrial and manufacturing enterprises operating in Iran's North Khorasan Province.

Overall, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
