BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. Iran exported a total of 2.45 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.18 billion to African countries, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), member of the international and foreign trade committee of the House of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, Deputy Chairman of the Iranian-African Businessmen's Club Rouhollah Latifi said on social media, Trend reports.

According to him, the non-oil exports decreased by 1 percent in value compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

The official added that Iran’s goods were exported to 45 out of 54 countries of the African continent for the last year.

Latifi said that Iran mainly exported non-oil products worth $305 million to the Republic of South Africa, worth approximately $191 million to Mozambique, worth $156 million to Ghana, worth approximately $143 million to Sudan and worth $129 million to Nigeria within the mentioned period.

As for the total non-oil trade turnover between Iran and African countries for the last Iranian year, Latifi noted that the trade turnover amounted to about 2.55 million tons worth approximately $1.28 billion, which is an increase of 2 percent compared to the preceding year.

Overall, Iran exported more than 122 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $53.2 billion in the last Iranian year, which increased by 10 percent in value, while it did not change in volume compared to the preceding year.
