BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. Iran exported about 10.2 million tons of non-oil products worth over $3.73 billion to neighboring countries, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), a member of the international and foreign trade committee of the House of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Rouhollah Latifi said on social media, Trend reports.
Iran's non-oil exports to neighboring countries for the reporting period decreased by 17 percent in value, while did not changed in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year, Latifi noted.
"So, Iran exported non-oil products worth approximately $1.23 billion to Iraq, worth $834 million to Türkiye, worth $749 million to the UAE, worth $283 million to Pakistan, and worth $242 million to Afghanistan in 2 months," he said.
According to the official, Iran also exported non-oil products worth $161 million to Oman, worth $131 million to Russia, worth $71 million to Azerbaijan, worth $65 million to Turkmenistan, worth $29 million to Kazakhstan, worth $22 million to Kuwait, worth $14 million to Qatar, worth $829,000 to Bahrain, and worth $66 million to rest.
As for Iran's total non-oil trade turnover with neighboring countries for two months, Latifi also added that the trade turnover amounted to 13 million tons worth $7.46 billion.
In total, Iran's non-oil trade turnover stood at 25.7 million tons worth about $15.5 billion during 2 months, of which 48.3 percent in value and 51 percent in volume accounted for neighboring countries.
Overall, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
