Iran’s non-oil exports to Tajikistan skyrocket

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Iran's non-oil exports to Tajikistan increased by 146 percent both in terms of value and volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

Within the 2 months, Iran exported about 43,800 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $29.7 million to Tajikistan.

Meanwhile, Iran's export of non-oil products to Tajikistan stood at 17,800 tons worth $12 million in the same period of the last Iranian year.

Iran mainly exported petrochemical products, steel products, agricultural and food products and, etc. to Tajikistan in 2 months.

During the 2nd month alone (April 21 through May 21, 2023), 23,900 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $16.3 million were exported from Iran to Tajikistan.

In total, Iran exported about 279,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $79.6 million to Tajikistan in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), which is an increase of 86.2 percent in value and 87.6 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

Overall, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
