BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. Around 123,000 tons of non-oil products worth $127 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Qom Province in the north of the country during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports.

According to him, the main exported non-oil products via the province’s customs were various agricultural, mining, and industrial products.

Derikvandi also added that 41,000 tons of goods worth $231 million were imported via the province’s customs in six months.

The customs official noted that imported products mainly consist of equipment and raw materials.

“Over 6 months, the revenue of the province's customs stood at 4 trillion rials (about $95.2 million), which is an increase of 32 percent compared to the same period in the last year,” he said.

Overall, Iran exported 55.9 million tons of non-oil products worth $19.3 billion during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023). This is an increase of 26.5 percent in value and a decrease of 8.55 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, Iran imported 14.4 million tons of goods worth $24.2 billion within five months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 7.49 percent in value and 2.17 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
