BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. The phosphate concentrate production of Iran’s Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex in Yazd Province increased by 44 percent during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), compared with the same time last year, Trend reports.
According to data from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the complex produced 55,900 tons of phosphate concentrate in 7 months.
In the same period of the previous Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), the figure stood at 38,826 tons.
In the 7th month (September 23 through October 22, 2023), the Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex produced 8,512 tons of phosphate concentrate, which is an increase of 36.8 percent compared to 6,222 tons in the same month in the previous Iranian year.
At the same time, the complex extracted 189,413 tons of minerals in 7 months, which is an increase of 9.7 percent compared to 172,682 tons in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the complex extracted 30,301 tons of minerals in the 7th month alone. This is an increase of 27.8 percent compared to 23,703 tons in the same month last year.
The Esfordi Industrial & Mineral Complex is one of the affiliated companies of the IMIDRO and is located 34 kilometers from Bafq County in Iran’s Yazd Province.
