BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 5. Iran has reopened 764 industrial enterprises since March 21, 2023, Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Farshad Moghimi said, Trend reports.
He also said that 543 more enterprises are expected to resume their activity soon.
Moghimi said that the ISIPO is investigating the problems of industrial enterprises that have less than 50 percent production capacity. There are 14,000 such enterprises in Iran, and they mainly face issues such as lack of equipment, liquidity and other challenges.
The official also stated that 12,181 industrial enterprises in Iran have more than 70 percent production capacity, which accounts for 24 percent of the total number of industrial enterprises in the country.
According to Moghimi, another 17,000 enterprises have production capacity between 50 and 70 percent, which represents 33 percent of the total.
At present, there are 851 industrial parks in Iran. Overall, more than 55,000 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and more than 1 million people work there.
