BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 20. Iran exported $188 million worth of non-oil goods, weighing 230,000 tons to Tajikistan for the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023), Trend reports.
Meanwhile, the non-oil export stood at $118 million worth, weighing 166,000 tons in the first 9 months and 10 days of last Iranian year, as indicated in the data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
It should be noted that IRICA published the statistics for 9 months and 10 days of last year instead of 9 months.
The main export items were petrochemical products, steel products, agricultural and food products, etc. within the mentioned period.
In the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2023), 35,300 tons of non-oil products, valued at $31.5 million were exported from Iran to Tajikistan.
Iran’s efforts to boost its non-oil exports amid the US sanctions that limit its oil sales. Iran’s non-oil exports include all products except crude oil, mazut, and white oil.
IRICA’s latest data shows that Iran exported about 102 million tons of non-oil products worth $36.4 billion in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023). This represents a 0.68 percent drop in value but a 26.5 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
