The Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) Garadagh Cement invested in the amount of $10 million in 2005. The funds were mainly allocated for processing of the raw material, improvement of electrical-statistical filters, as well as renovation of packaging lines and expansion of the vehicle base, the enterprise board chairman Uwe Koehler told Trend.
According to the OJSC head, the volume of production for seven months at Garadagh Cement was 746,000 tons and the same figure is expected for the similar period of 2006.
Apart from this, it should be noted, that Garadagh Cement plans to produce totally 1,3 million tons of cement in the current year.
In 2004 the enterprise, the total number of employees of which is 552 persons, invested $6,5 million and produced 1,36 million tons of cement.
