Magnuz Borg, the head of the INTOSAI (IDI) focus group, will pay a visit to Baku, the Azerbaijani Accountancy Chamber told Trend. The visit is planned for February 2006.
The Accountancy Chamber noted that the major goal of the visit of the INTOSAI (IDI) focus group is to participate in the work of the workshop on audit of public arrears to be held from 6 to 24 February.
During the visit Borg will meet with the head of the Azerbaijani Accountancy Chamber to discuss issues on expansion of cooperation in the audit, the Accountancy Chamber noted.
The key objective of the event is to improve the professional skills of the specials of the Supreme Financial Control Bodies (SFCB) in the sphere of audit of public arrears. Attending the event will be representatives of SFCB from 8 countries, including, Bulgaria, Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Belarus, Norway and Switzerland.
