Azeri, Georgian and Turkish experts amend Kars-Tbilisi-Baku project

Last version of the technical-economic project will be changed and amended at the meeting of Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish experts in frames of the Kars-Ahalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku railroad project, the first vice transport minister, Musa Panahov told Trend.

The project will be adopted at the meeting of member-states transport ministers that is due to be held in Ankara. Its exact date will be defined at the meeting of expert groups.

The project cost is reviewed in 2 versions. They are calculated in line with the technical matters. The version is estimated in $365m and the second in $420m. The final cost depends on possibility to expand the infrastructure in Georgia. Second version is currently of the most interest. Remaining technical matters will be solved further on as the cargo levels will grow.
