The currency reserves of Azerbaijan located in the disposal of Azerbaijan National Bank (ANB) has increased by 28.34% as comprised to the beginning of 2006, and reached $1 234.27 million as of August 1, Trend reports with reference to ANB. At the beginning of the year, the amount of the currency reserves had made $ 961.71 mln.
Over the period of January-July, $29.38 mln have been directed from the currency reserves to the implementation of obligations on main debts and interests of the credits from the International Currency Fund.
