As of September 1, the number of families appealing to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan for receiving addressed state social aid reached 263 928. The documents of 62 435 families have been registered, Trend reports with reference to the statement of the Ministry. The aid has been appointed for 28631 families.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the limit of need criteria for the addressed state social aid was defined in amount of AZN 30. Nearly AZN 1 248.191 thousand is required for the families that will receive addressed aid.
14 694 families were refused to receive social aid due unconformity of the documents.
As of September 1, the number of the families receiving various types of social aid from state reaches 11 545 (40.3%), and the number of families that receive state aid for the first time - 17 086 (59.7%).
AZN 72 million has been allocated from the 2006 state budget for addressed social aid. Addressed social aid is provided within two joint projects with the World Bank and TACIS.
