State Addressed Social Aid Will Cover 171,000 Azeri Families in 2007

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Labor and social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan, in 2007 the state addressed social aid will be provided to 171,000 families or more than 800,000 people. AZN 78 mln is intended to be allocated from the 2007 state budget for this purpose, Trend reports with reference to the Finance Ministry of Azerbaijan.

According to the forecasts of the Labor Ministry, the addressed aid will be produced to 50,000 families (250,000 people) in 2006.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, the rate of need criteria for receiving addressed aid that is provided from 1 July 2006 has been defined in amount of AZN 30. At present, two variants of increasing the need criteria in 2007 to AZN 35 or 40 are being considered.

AZN 72 mln has been allocated from the 2006 state budget for the addressed social aid.
