On December 6, Mohammad Abbasi, Minister of Cooperatives of Iran met with Afshar Soleimani, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan. Mr. Abbasi and Mr. Soleimani discussed economic co-operation between Azerbaijan and Iran, Trend reports quoting Iranian media.
The Iranian Minister called on expansion of economic cooperation with Azerbaijan. He highlighted historical, religious and cultural commonalties between the two countries and called for expansion of cooperation in agriculture, fisheries, transportation, mines and processing industries between the two countries.
