Azerbaijan , Baku / Trend , corr . I. Khalilova/ Rufat Mammadov, who previously worked as an Expert in the EU Programme on the Implementation of the Agreement on Partnership and Co-operation between EU and Azerbaijan , is the new Chief of Co-ordination Bureau of the EU Technical Assistance Programmes (TACIS).
The necessity in appointing the new Executive Director arose due to the former Chief of the Bureau, Asgar Alakbarov's transferring to the Azerbaijan Economic Development Ministry.
Due to structural changes within the Economic Development Ministry, a new department for foreign policy and foreign investments was founded. Asgar Alakbarov headed the new department which had previously entered the Department for Investments and International Economic Co-operation which was led by Elshan Mammadzadeh. This department was released and several other offices were founded on its basis. Mr. Mammadzadeh was then appointed the Chief of the Department for Foreign Trade and Relations.
