Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / Over the period of January-May, the Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan has held 58 raids in the construction enterprises, the Head of the Inspection, Nabi Shukurlu, said.
According to Shukurlu, as a result of raids, 24 employers were fined in amount of AZN 1980 for breaking the norms of Code of Administrative Infractions. 461 warnings were and of them, 293 have been implemented and the implementation of remaining warnings in under the control of the Inspection.
Shukurlu said that the raids showed that the most of the accidents in the construction take place due to break of the technical norms, including absence of protection uniform, medical employees, special rails in dangerous places (balconies, stairways), open roofs.
One of the important aspects is to enlighten the workers in avoiding accidents.
Established by the Presidential decree, the Labor Inspection is a body ensuring the rights of the workers.
