Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / Farhad Aliyev, the Executive Director of the Azerbaijani Bank of Association (ABA), stated on 11 June that the conference of the ABA on ratifying a new charter of the ABA is planned to be held after 25 June.
The date of the general meeting will be appointed after determining the possible number of conference attendants from the forty-seven members of the ABA. Presently, the reports of the members of the Association have been collected regarding the project of the Charter.
The members of the ABA will send the document for revision, should the document not be ratified during the conference.
The presidium and auditory committee of the ABA will be summoned for a five-year term in compliance with the Charter of the project. The meeting of the presidium must be held quarterly.
The document passed preliminary ratification during the irregular meeting of the ABA presidium, which was held on 20 April.
The latest project of the Charter, as well as the strategic plans of the ABA, the main functions and developments to occur between 2007 and 2011, which will also be ratified at the meeting, was published in the Bank and Business magazine.
The members making up the majority of the presidium - Agrar-credit, the International Bank of Azerbaijan, the AzerigazBank, the Capital Bank, the Bank Standard, the Bank of Baku, the AmrakhBank, the Bank Respublika and the Caucasus Bank of Development have decided to submit the Charter for discussion at the general meeting.
