Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / Tatarstan Republic of the Russian Federation, plans to construct a chemical fertilizer production plant in Azerbaijan by the end of 2007, the First Deputy of the Permanent Representative Office of Tatarstan Government in Azerbaijan, Ilham Shamilev, said on 28 June.
According to Shamilev, there is a large demand for Tatarstan chemical fertilizers in Azerbaijan due to their low prices.
Shamilev noted that Tatarstan also has intentions to build an agriculture equipment assembling workshop in Azerbaijan. Spare parts will be supplied from Tatarstan and assembled in Azerbaijan.
The second meeting of the Azerbaijani-Tatarstan Inter-Governmental Commission is expected to be held in July.
The first meeting was held in Kazan, Russian Federation, in 2006.
