Georgia, Tbilisi / corr Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / Additional three electricity transmission lines (ETL) will be build between Georgia and Turkey, Alexander Khetaguri, the Georgian Energy Minister said after the visit to Turkey.
"Now we have only one ETL and after building of additional three, the electricity transmission capacity will be increased to 1,600 MW," Khetaguri said.
He said that this will ensure more stable energy transmission for both countries in case of necessity.
The establishment of united energy systems of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey is part of energy specialists' nearest plans.
Khetari participated in the Georgian - Turkish economic forum, that was held in Ankara. Zurab Nagodeli, the Georgian Prime Minister attended this forum.
