Oil Coke Production Increases by 7 times in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 March / Trend / The Heydar Aliyev oil refinery plant of Azerbaijan produced 17,970 tons of oil coke in January to February 2008 against 2,600 tons in January to February 2007, as reported by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
In 2007, there were no plans to produce oil coke, but production began from January to February. This was then stopped in March and restored again in April. As a result the total volume totalled 85,000 tons.
In 2006, some 67,240 tons of oil coke was produced. In 2005, the enterprise did not produce any oil coke. The Russian alumni plants are the main users of Azerbaijani oil coke.
