The International Energy Agency (IEA) lowered the forecast of world oil demand in 2009 to 0.2 million bpd, said the IEA report, which was placed on the official website of the agency.
In accordance with the new forecast, the world oil demand will low 2.6 million bpd to 83.2 million.
The continued drop in world oil demand makes it possible to recover the world economy by the end of this year.
In April this year, the world's supply was 83.6 million barrels per day, which is 230,000 barrels more than in March. The increase in supply has contributed to the increase in oil production of OPEC. The oil cartel countries rose by 270,000 barrels per day to 28.2 million barrels per day in April.
The forecast of oil of non-OPEC countries has been increased by 50,000 barrels per day thanks to stabilization of production in the North Sea and higher production of Russia in recent months. According to IEA, oil deliveries to these countries fell from 50.6 million bpd in 2008 to 50.3 million bpd in 2009.
