The Swiss international organization Crans Montana Forum will organize the Nabucco & South Stream: new prospects for European energy security forum in Vienna on Dec.10-12. Trend agency is the media partner of the event.

The Crans Montana Forum will organize this to reflect on some of the main geo-strategic challenges at the top of the European agenda, the company reported.

In Vienna, key Businesses in the field of Security, mainly Energy Security, will meet with Government decision-makers and international Organisations to address these key issues such as reliance on foreign sources of energy, the Energy demand, Energy Security policy, Investment projects along with alternative Energy sources, to quote but a few subjects.

Representatives of governments, international organizations and companies, particularly, OPEC, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, Total, Chevron, the European Investment Bank, BG Group, the Islamic Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Caspian Investment Centre will attend the forum.
As Energy Security is impacting on Global Security, a number of highly specialised sessions will be devoted to European Global Security.
The winter 2008/2009 crisis confirmed how weak the European situation is and the vulnerability of Central and South-Eastern European countries as far as their Energy Security is concerned. This experience must be analyzed in terms of the necessary diversification of energy supplies, the standards for energy security and safety as well as orientation for the future investments and international networks.
