On Dec. 12, SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) conducted another community work day on the day of memory of Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. "As part of today's community work day in Baku, the company planted about 15,000 trees," said the President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev.
According to him, by the end of next year, SOCAR will grow first seedlings in greenhouses, which will be created within a new ecological park on the territory of company's oil and gas nuit named after Tagiyev. These seedlings will be used on the company's areas, cleared from oil.
As the next year in Azerbaijan was declared the Year of Ecology, SOCAR will continue its environmental programs, said Abdullayev.
