Baku's gas processing plant to increase processing volumes in 2010

SOCAR's gas processing plant plans to process 4.38 billion cubic meters of gas in 2010 compared to 3.9 billion cubic meters last year, director of the plant Agshin Pashayev's article placed in the newspaper "Republic" said.

Accordingly, it is planned to increase production of dry gas. So in 2010, the plant will generate 4.305 billion cubic meters of dry gas compared to 3.824 billion in 2009. Percentage of dry gas will be 98.29 percent, the article said.

The company plans to produce 26,100 tons of natural gasoline this year compared to more than 27,000 tons in 2009. As stated in the article, it is planned to produce 20,000 tons of technical butane compared to about 22,000 tons last year.

In the first quarter of this year the plant received one billion cubic meters of gas for processing. During this period, the company produced 8,016 tons of technical butane and 8,188 tons of natural gasoline, or more than 3,904 tons than the plan for the production of liquid gas products.

The article said that the income in 2010 from the gas processing services will hit about $22 million manat, and expected expenditure - about $ 20 million manat. As a result, the plant plans to get profit worth about $ 2.13 million manat due to economic activity of the plant in 2010.

In 2010, the investment program is planned to reach more than 5.9 million manat.

Last year, the figures were about 1.2 and about 5.02 million manat, the article said.

The plant processes gas of SOCAR's Azneft PU.

At present, the production capacity is 6.5 billion cubic meters a year. After the reconstruction, which is scheduled for next year, its annual production capacity will increase to 8 billion cubic meters.
